About The AuthorNick Ganaway started and operated for 25 years his own light-commercial construction business, covering a dozen states in the Southeastern U.S. In 1999 he sold the company, which continues now in its third decade. Nick started small, like most contractors do, and eventually operated his company in more than a dozen states across the Southeastern U.S. This book puts in one place what he believes every contractor must know before breaking ground on his or her first project. As a result of not gaining this knowledge before starting out, Nick took unnecessary near-fatal risk in the early years of his business. His book is a product of his years in business. Ganaway earned a BS degree in industrial engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington followed by several years of responsible positions in industry prior to starting his construction business. He lives with his wife Lee in Atlanta, GA, and offers consultant services to contractors. |
